Radio personality and Miss SA judge Anele Mdoda stuck a critic firmly in her lane on Thursday, after he suggested Miss SA could live her best life during her reign and then return to a cabin.
New Miss SA Zozibini Tunzi was overwhelmed with gifts and prizes this week following her win last weekend. She was given the keys to an R5m apartment in Sandton, Johannesburg and a R1m Mercedes-Benz convertible. She will hold on to these for a year until the next winner is crowned.
While many were pleased with Zozibini, the well-known businessman, Sentletse Diakanyo, said "the prizes are just a big scam".
Sentletse imagined a scenario in which Miss SA was from a cabin and won the competition. He said that after her reign she should give back all these beautiful things and return to a cabin.
