Oprah Winfrey on the other side was an interview last night when she sat down for the latest edition of UMass Lowell Chancellor's Speaker Series.
Talkshow legend and media mogul joined Jacquie Moloney, the office at the university, at Tsongas Center for an event entitled "A Conversation with Oprah Winfrey."
In addition to answering all questions asked by Moloney and student members to the audience, Winfrey – who stands behind media power plants as Owning: Oprah Winfrey Network, O, Oprah Magazine and Harpo Movies – accepted a honorary doctorate with a human letter graduate from the school.
The Mirroring Gentleman's affinity for Philanthropy, the University of Massachusetts Lowell, actually served the evening as a fundraiser. Revenue from ticket sales will support students directly, which the university recently announced that it would be to establish Oprah Winfrey Scholarship with the funds raised.
The scholarship, whose first recipient was announced during Winfrey's visit last night, will go to students with financial needs and a commitment to academic achievement.
