The police in Victoria launched a survey on new cases detected by needles in fresh fruit.
Sewing needles were found in fresh pears purchased in stores of the Australian city of Melbourne. This was reported on November 14, transmitter ABC.
Needles found in pears only three days after the police announced the arrest of 50-year-old woman accused of deliberate counterfeiting of food.
About the police's functionality in Victoria said the worker at ABC, Clare Bonser, who found the needle in pears during breakfast. "I have not had any damage, just looked at pearls, as I ate and saw a shine of the needle," said the woman.
Secondly, the packaging of pears with the needle was detected inside the staff at the Woolworths Supermarket in Seaford (Melbourne suburb).
According to the channel, the police in Victoria initiated a study on new cases detected by needles in fresh fruit.
