Joe Cole decided to put away his cramps. The 37-year-old English international announced Tuesday.
Cole made his professional debut in 1999 as West Ham, his training club. After moving to Chelsea, where he played between 2003 and 2010, the offensive midfielder won the Premier League three times with Blues and also won two FA Cup and a League Cup. He was also scored in the UEFA Champions League final 2007-2008 by Manchester United.
He then played for Liverpool, Lille, Aston Villa and Coventry. Since 2016 he has played in American D2 during the Tampa Bay Rowdies tunic. International 56 times for the three lions, he competed in World Cup 2002, 2006 and 2010.
