Two German banks launched merger negotiations – Business News

Leading German financial institutions Deutsche Bank and Commerzbank opened negotiations for a possible merger, reported DPA and quoted a source owner.

Between the two investments, there are plans to merge for several months. Earlier, the German government said the authorities were "open to economically viable opportunities" in the banking sector.

Deutsche Bank is Germany's largest financial institution and one of the most important transnational banks. It has offices in over 70 countries.

Commerzbank is the fourth largest asset bank in Germany. Serves over 18 million customers.
