Peel Regional Police said a survey was underway after a suspicious package was located at the Toronto Pearson International Airport on Wednesday evening.
The package was found around 9 am in terminal 1 at the airport.
Toronto Pearson International Airport said on Twitter that the package in question was a piece of unguarded luggage that was found on the third floor of the terminal.
The explosive unit of the Peel Regional Police Service has been convened.
A part of the affected terminal has been closed when an investigation is being carried out.
