A breach of infection control at a local hair transplant clinic has prompted the health unit to invite any person treated at the facility to seek medical attention.

Windsor-Essex County Health Unit said everyone went to the Guaranteed Hair Transplant Clinic at 1291 Wyandotte St. E. between April 2017 and November 2018 should see a doctor. The medical follow-up may include blood tests for hepatitis B, C and HIV.

"This precaution is issued following a report and investigation of an identified breach of infection and control practices at the plant in November," said the health unit in a release.

The company has since shut down, the health unit said, so it's no longer a threat to public security.

Due to insufficient documentation practices on the facility and inability to follow up with patrons directly, the health unit asks people to identify and seek medical attention.
