"If there is such a little man, let's go to the corridor": the meeting between deputies Urrutia (UDI) and Celis (RN) for the strike in the port of Valparaíso

In the middle of the congress, a discussion took place in the purest form of "looking out" among the members of Chile Vamos because of the unequal opinions about the strike of workers from the Valparaíso port.

A strong confrontation took place on Thursday afternoon, parliamentarians Chile Vamos, Osvaldo Urrutia (UDI) and Andrés Celis (RN), as part of temporary staff strike in Valparaíso port.

It all began when the trade union accused Raúl Celis, brother of the parliamentary, of maltrating the strike and becoming "a spokesperson for Terminal 1 in the company Terminal Pacífico Sur" (TPS), from the Von Appen Group. It is worth mentioning that Raúl Celis is the former mayor of the region and also former president of the port company Valparaíso (EPV).

"Deputy Urrutia, if you are a man enough and believe that Mr. Raúl Celis Montt has a conflict of interest, go to court and condemn. But do not shout," defended the deputy.

"I have not hidden myself in anything," Urrutia replied. "I understand you're the brother, but I ask you to be a sufficient man and acknowledge that your brother has made mistakes. A president of a port company can not be spokesman for a confession except when the government itself has asked for the termination of their absence ability to reach agreement, "he said.

From there, a hard discussion broke out with reactions from the press to each of the MPs' opinions. Despite the tone, the controversy ceased, and everything ended with Urrutia thinking that Celis was speaking alone. "I invite him to speak without a change. I do not show Let's go to the hall and talk together." If he's such a little man … come here. Without the press, "he concluded.

Celis' apologies

After the almost gritty lead role both deputies. Andrés Celis offered his apologies to Porteños. "I think the focus is on what happens in the port and in violence in Valparaiso," he said.

"It hurts me that deputy Osvaldo Urrutia Soto accused my brother Raul Celis Montt of having an impeccable career and former president of the port, saying he acted more like TPS president than EPV, saying he was a spokesman for TPS or that he had interests with TPS, and I think it's unfair because he is being charged with a crime, "he added.

Celis defended his argument and urged Urrutia if he had a story "to go to court because he accuses him of a crime without being my brother and that Urrutia has competence and to hide it because I think it is unfair to Raúl, no matter what my brother is. "

Finally, CElis insisted on the apologies for embarrassment. "I think there is a focus on solving what happens in Valparaíso, but I can not let Raúl Celis Montt be treated, who has interests in TPS, who looked like TPS president and who is a spokesman, and as now says that I too I am when I do not even know the TPS company, much less the dealer, "he concluded.
