American doctors chose the best diet for the year 2019. The list of dietary habits was published in the US News and World Report.
The experts analyzed about 40 diets among the most popular and concluded that the famous Mediterranean diet is the best solution.
This diet allows you to lose weight and reduce the risk of heart disease. In addition, the diet has been considered rather simple and at the same time rich in elements necessary for a healthy diet.
According to this feeding method, you must consume plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables, legumes, nuts, seeds, colostrum bread and pasta. It is also recommended to eat less red meat and choose seafood.

The second-place diet was the so-called DASH diet (dietary approach to stopping hypertension in Spanish), developed by the US National Institute of Health as a feeding plan to combat this disease. In addition, this diet is beneficial to the gastrointestinal tract.
This diet consists of the controlled intake of foods such as whole grains, proteins, fruits, vegetables and some fatty dairy products. At the same time, it suggests consuming only 2,300 milligrams of sodium per day and reducing salt consumption to a daily minimum.
Among the three best methods, researchers also mention flexitarism – derived from the vegetarian diet, but accepting the rare consumption of meat.
