"They are small bad times that add," said the lawyer representing them.
Users of the Chilean telecommunications company VTR have led to several changes with the company, having realized that several channels were changed from the official network. There are even threats about class action (via Cooperativa).
With the beginning of 2019, users of the company noted that they no longer have six channels of AMC Networks International Latin America in their TV guides: AMC, El Gourmet, Europe Europe, Film & Art, Más Chic and Sundance TV. The followers of them have shown great annoyance.
According to the portal, users have requested to leave the firm massively for not having notified of changes.
Several were organized by social networks and even have a lawyer named Juan Ignacio Véjar, with whom they could collectively sue the company. This is what the lawyer sent to the same media:
"Channel replacement, although it may be of the same content, is not of the same quality. There is a consumer who is constantly affected by unilateral decisions, and they are small bad times that add, and I think we all agree that VTR cannot do what it wants with its customers. "
First, Ricardo Guerra, VTR's content and advertising manager said that cultural content is now on the company's on-demand platform, and that users have consumed the new content in the cable service.
"20% of all new programming is cultural. What happened? In the early hours of 2019, the number of people entering our VOD (video on demand) platforms and also the time users spent watching the new programming rose. "
