Costa Rica destroyed Chile's night on Friday with a big triumph at home with 3-2, in a friendly match before Copa América next year played in the El Teniente court in the city of Rancagua, neighbor Santiago.
One double from Kendall Waston and a third goal from Ronald Matarrita returned to clarify the superiority of the set ticoon on Australia which in the last minute managed to make a big effort with goals from Sebastian Vegas and Alexis Sánchez. The Chileans collided from the start of the match with a combined Costa Rica team whose counterattack always caused danger to the goal defended by Johnny Herrera.
At 26 minutes, Arturo Vidal passed Junior Fernandes flowing over the left-hand zone and focused on Sebastián Paredes that by centimeter did not reach the ball. On the other hand, the guest game continued to dominate major passages on the field, and then Jonathan McDonald (m.29) and Joel Campbell (m.32) were about to open the points.
And so much was the pot to the water like 35 minutes after a corner of Ticos between Enzo Roco and Sebastian Vegas could not neutralize Waston, who jumped higher and scored the first goal for the Costa Rica team. In the following minutes before completing the first fraction, the Chilean team led, led by the Colombian Reinaldo Rueda, had some chances, but the lack of skill in front of the goal made it impossible for him to move the cursor.
In the second half, Chile jumped to the grass with intensity and continually attacked in the first few minutes of Alexis Sanchez with hunger for goal. But Ronald Gonzalez's men were inspired and at 58 minutes again the corner of Campbell bounced at Gary Medel, the ball hit a post and the rejection was taken by Waston, which increased the score for the Costa Rica team.
In the following minutes, the visitors group became a nightmare for the Chileans and it was like 63 minutes after Ronald Matarrita, after a big race and without Óscar Opazo he could stop and crossed the third goal for Ticos. Australia's team reacted seven minutes later, when Sanchez performed an accident that first nodded to Isla and finally, Sebastian Vegas repeatedly pushing the ball into goal.
With 81 minutes played, Sanchez missed a penalty kick that beat Esteban Alvarado of the opposition. When everything seemed to be lost, Sanchez received a pass from Lorenzo Reyes after 89 minutes, losing his mistake by doing the second goal for an unknown Chilean team.
