A Turkish state-owned aid organization has donated 80,000 blankets to internally displaced persons in Ethiopia's eastern city of Jijiga, the capital of Somalia's regional state.
ADDIS ABABA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News, app – November 17, 2018): A Turkish stateless relief agency has donated 80,000 blankets to internally displaced persons in Ethiopia's eastern city of Jijiga, the capital of Somalia's regional state.
The Turkish ambassador to Ethiopia Fatih Ulusoy, TIKA land coordinator Mehmet Ali Yetis and Deputy President of Somalia's regional state Adem Farha participated in the aid distribution held today.
Ambassador Ulusoy said his government would continue to support development needs in the region.
Vice President of the region noted stability has returned to the region. "We need Turkish investors," he said.
The TIKA coordinator said the donation was only a beginning of the continuous support.
"We will continue to support the needy people and the region." The cover was manufactured by the Turkish textile company ETUR Textile PLC, based in the Adama city of Ethiopia, "he said.
