Katalin Szili: Left is not on the party of society



Socialists' former ruling politicians criticized the left-wing parties. Katalin Szili spoke at a conference in Budapest that he thought the left was unaffected. According to the prime minister's agent, the crisis on the left is also dependent on the lack of uniform and contradictory principles.

By defining a joint list for the left parties in the 2014 elections, over 26 percent of the votes have been won. Four years later, they lost their popularity again. The support of the MSZP dialogue and the democratic coalition, along with 17 percent, was hardly over.

The downturn to the left has begun a long time ago – said Katalin Szili, former vice president of MSZP at the conference on the Left Party's situation. According to the current prime minister's mandate, the Socialists on the slope began to reject a referendum on double citizenship in 2004, which finally failed. The former speaker said that the crisis on the left also is the reason why it does not represent uniform and contradictory principles.
