MS Dhoni, the former Indian captain serving in the parachute regiment of the Jammu and Kashmir Territorial Army, was in news again on Saturday. A picture of MS Dhoni playing cricket with children in Leh went viral on social media. Chennai Super Kings (CSK), the Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise led by Dhoni took to Twitter to share a photo of him enjoying his time with the kids in Leh. "Different field. Earlier, Dhoni watched playing volleyball with members of his territorial army battalion in a video that appeared on social media earlier in August.
MS Dhoni was last seen in action during the World Cup, with India knocked out in the semi-finals after losing close competition against New Zealand. The 38-year-old wicketkeeper-batsman took a two-month sabbatical from cricket as he made himself unavailable for the tour of the West Indies.
The voters chose Rishabh Pant as the only wicketkeeper for the tour's limited overs, but Pant couldn't impress as he threw his wicket away in four laps of the five he played against the West Indies.
With the home series against South Africa coming up in September, Dhoni could possibly get a recall of the Indian team for the T20 Internationals. India is scheduled to play three T20Is and three Test matches against South Africa from September 15.
