2018 Open Hong Kong Open Results Recap – Indonesia passes 4 representatives to semifinals, Mainstay Men's doubles


SERAMBINEWS.COM – Hong Kong Open 2018 badminton tournament has entered the last eight that was completed on Friday (11/16/2018).

A total of 8 Indonesian representatives were registered to appear in the quarterfinals in 2018 Hong Kong Open.

Of the eight representatives, four of them won successfully and have the right to progress to the 2018 semifinals in the Hong Kong Open.

Fajar Alfian / Muhammad Rian Ardianto became the first Indonesian representative to win tickets for the last four BWF World Tour Super 500 tournaments.

Fajar / Rian drove after being able to beat Taiwan's men Lee Jhe-Huei / Lee Yang, with a score of 21-17, 25-23.

Fajar / Rian's success was successfully followed by two other Indonesian men doubles who performed in the quarterfinals in Hong Kong Open 2018.

The doubles of the two men are Mohammad Ahsan / Hendra Setiawan and Marcus Fernaldi Gideon / Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo.

Ahsan / Hendra qualified for the semifinal after defeating Kim Astrup / Anders Skaarup Rasmussen (Denmark) with a score of 21-19, 21-14.

While Marcus / Kevin has to fight for three matches, 20-22, 21-9.21-15 to defeat Kim Gi-jung / Lee Yong days (South Korea).

At the same time, another ticket is presented to the 2018 Hong Kong Open by Greysia Polii / Apriyani Rahayul through the woman's double.
