Couple died in court over fire who killed horses and injured women in Donegal

A man and a woman will appear in court in Letterkenny, Co Donegal today in connection with a fire that killed two horses and left a injured woman.

The fire broke out at Lenamore Stables in Muff in the early hours of Sunday morning last.

The stable was severely damaged and two horses were killed in the fan.

A woman also suffered minor burns and was led by smoke in the fire.

She was taken to hospital for medical treatment.

Fire tender from Derry and Donegal participated in the scene and took control of the fire. However, the two captured animals could not be saved.

A full forensic investigation was conducted, which led to arrest of two people yesterday.

They were taken to the Buncrana Garda station for the matter and will be shown before the Letterkenny District Court today.
