For this reason, the team of Huawei engineers led by Nobel Prize winner Konstantin Novoselov and the team of researchers at Cambridge University developed an improved or so-called functional graphon.

"Functionalized grafon has one or more active molecules embedded in its surface. This prevents various side effects with other materials while retaining excellent electrical and thermal conductivity. This is precisely what we have achieved when we have developed a functionalized graphon film," explains Yanfei.

He adds that the newly-functional graph can be as high as 50%. improve thermal conductivity. Furthermore, the use of the properties of the graph nanomaterials results in an extremely high thermal conductivity coefficient over a relatively small surface area.

Used in future equipment

As Yanfei says, the company has invested heavily in the development of this material before submitting a patent. She worked with many manufacturers in the development and processing of the graph to get a thermal film certificate. All of this allows us to assume that Huawei's proprietary technology in the near future will have a wide range of applications in different areas. And the first examples of this have already been presented in London in October.
