Nexans Morocco and Envol Afrique launch "Nexans Ivory Coast"

The management of the new plant will also be privileged for a Moroccan top management.

The 32,000 m2 plant will produce low and medium voltage cables as well as transformers for residential and tertiary building markets. It will also manufacture cables for the distribution network and will be the first factory in the region to produce transformers and prefabricated substations.

The installation of the Nexans Côte d'Ivoire facility will support, inter alia, the Côte d'Ivoire's electrification and housing and tertiary building programs. Nexans Morocco, which manufactures cables for various areas of activity (telecom, mining, energy, car, port infrastructure, space industry, etc.) employs 800 people and delivered a turnover of 1.7 billion dirham at the end of 2015. , about 155 million euros. For its part, the Envol Group collects a dozen industrial companies in West Africa. Its investment portfolio comprises several sectors, such as steel profiling and roofing, aluminum, chemistry (industrial glue and paint), packaging, agro industry.
