University suffers from increased pain outback

Every year, the quality of the education of Keuzegids is examined. The editors are based on results from the National Student Survey (NSE), on Judges NVAO and on student performance.

At UvA and EUR, 7658 and 7069 first year students began last year. Last year, there were still 7052 and 6686. In Amsterdam, according to Keuzegids, the massive economic programs suffer from "growing pain". With student numbers over 800, the lecture rooms break at the seams.

No more tables are available on a regular basis

Student economics Alex Sloep and Anne de Jong find it annoying that there are often no lectures at the lectures, so they are forced to sit down with their laptops. "The organization can do better. We often sit in other places with exams," says Sloep. "Once in the East, the second time in the South. We must therefore be careful where we have to go."

Yet not everyone is dissatisfied. "We are really in training with many people, but education does not suffer," says first-year student Ana Niculaita, who also does business economics. "We also have lectures in ArenA, Carré and the Opera House provide the necessary variety."

According to the fellow student Lukas Rischen, UvA treats the lack of space. "The university has arranged it so that we have lessons every day in one place, even if we have different subjects. The doctrine is just right."

According to Lukas Rischen, UvA is good about the lack of space.

"What Keuzegids writes about the economics programs is amazing," says an UvA spokesman. "We are always looking at the results of the National Student Survey, which is an important signal for us. In that survey, the differences between universities are very small. Courses in economics and business economics have actually increased, but those studies did higher than last year."

Much criticism of teachers

Rotterdam students are not only dissatisfied with the facilities, but also have a lot of criticism of teachers. They would not be enough over the material, or didactically not strong. The lowest rated study is the law, with 1000 first years the largest candidate for scientific education. The number of first-year students in that program increased by 30 percent last year.

A spokesman for EUR says that the university should analyze the results and the method used in the Selection Guide as soon as possible. He also refers to NSE. "It shows that EUR students are usually satisfied with their university." On student numbers, he says: "In recent years, we have actually got a lot more students, just like the other universities. It takes a lot of effort to keep students' experience of students up to standard."

Wageningen UR

Wageningen UR is best considered. This university has also been significantly larger in recent years. Nevertheless, students still do not know about a number for a long time. They are positive about the content of the program and their teachers.
