In a letter, Schumacher's wife says that former drivers will not give up recovery

Since the German Formula 1 champion Michael Schumacher suffered a ski accident in France in December 2013, little is known about the recovery and health of the former driver who lives in prison with his family in Switzerland. Just close family and friends have contact with him and almost nothing will be revealed to the press and car riders.

In a rare moment as Michael Schumacher's wife Corinna announced, she spoke of her husband in a letter sent to German singer Sascha Herchebach. Married to the former driver 23 years ago, he said he is a fighter and does not give up his recovery.

The information about Schumacher was revealed by Herchebach in an interview with the German newspaper Bunte. A few months after the accident, the singer composed the song "Born to Fight" to honor the former pilot and sent a CD to the family. And he revealed that he did not expect an answer.

"I would like to thank you very much for your message and for the beautiful gift that helps us in the difficult times. It is good to have so many voices and other well-meaning words, that is a good support for our family." Corinna wrote.

"I did not expect an answer and I'm happy," said Herchebach. "The letter was written and signed by Corinna and she wrote that she was very happy and that helped her and her family through these difficult times."
