Transelectrica, a company holding the natural monopoly on the Romanian electricity market, recorded a turnover of 1.8 billion SEK in the first nine months, a decrease of 24% and net profit increased 51% to 98 million, according to the financial report. Between January and September, EBIDTA decreased by 2% to 340 million. Operating expenses also decreased by 28% to SEK 1.49 billion. Between January and September 2018, the total electricity tax on services in the electricity market (41.27 TWh) increased by 1.87%. Total operating income for the first nine months of 2018 decreased by 24% compared with the same period last year (RON 1,832 million compared with RON 2,414 million). Total operating expenses (including depreciation) realized between 1 January and 30 September 2018 decreased by 26% compared to the same period last year (1,718 million tired compared to 2,314 million in the same period 2017), mainly in the development of non-profit segments, but also to due to the fact that lower amounts are reported in the category of impairment adjustments. In the production mix structure, during the period January to September 2018, compared to the same period in 2017, a reduction of the heat component was about 6.7%, the production from nuclear power plants by 1.6% and from renewable sources by 14 6%.
