A young, disabled Argentinian supporter of Atletico Madrid and Antoine Griezmann were invited by the French to Madrid to participate in a Colchoneros match under idyllic conditions.
In Argentina, nine-year-old Manu is a big fan of Atletico Madrid and Antoine Griezmann. He is also handicapped – he has two prosthetic legs and incomplete upper extremities – but it does not prevent him from doing sports as he showed a video, jersey in the Madrid club at the back. Moved by this achievement, the French invited the young Argentine to participate in the match Atletico, Saturday against Athletic Bilbao (3-2).
And once in Madrid, the day before the match, Griezmann was surprised to see the little Manu at his hotel. The Frenchman hugged the Argentinean, also pleased to get a signed shirt from his idol who praised his courage and strength despite his disability. Manu also discovered the arena, his lawn, his locker room, his entrails and was received from the hands of club president Enrique Cerezo, several gifts.
"You're an example, keep on doing this"
To the angels, the young Argentinian fan had an exciting encounter with his heroes. Trained 2-1, Colchoneros eventually scored two goals in the last ten minutes, including the victory's signed goddess in injury time. Manu could finally greet player and coach Diego Simeone after the match. "You're an example, keep it so," Griezmann told him in the storage room with a big emotional smile.
