SINGAPORE – A personal mobility device (PMD) rider was injured after a collision between him and an electric scooter rider on Saturday night (March 16).
Football of the event shows the rider of PMD resembling a bike crossing a road where the traffic light flashes green in his favor. An e-scooter riding on the road later collides with him.
After the collision another e-scooter rider goes by.
Police said they were aware of the accident along Pasir Ris Drive 1 towards Pasir Ris Drive 8 at. 21.11 on Saturday.
The PMD rider in the accident, a 37-year-old man, was conscious when he was taken to Sengkang General Hospital.
The police are investigating the incident.
The Mobile Mobility Act indicates that a person must not drive a PMD on a road at any time.
PMDs include kick scooters, electric scooters, unicycles and hoverboards, according to the Land Transport Authority website.
