Slovak hockey striker Martin Bakos has a new challenge in the Continental Hockey League (KHL). In early summer, he agreed to cooperate with Admiral Vladivostok and in the East Belarus club is ready for preparation for the first formation wing.
He paid back to coach for this week's Zbyněk Kusý Memorial in Pardubice, where he scored three times in three games in the new jersey, adding two assists.
"It doesn't matter who scores. In one match I can do it in my other teammates. We all worked honestly, I was the happier one to score, but I have to say that our whole tournament showed a good match throughout the tournament " said the Slovak representative in an interview to the club's website Admiral.
KHL teams did not confirm the role of favorites at the "Gingerbread Town" event. Vladivostok lost in the base group with Kosice, Amur Khabarovsk got an accident 0: 7 from Czech Hradec Kralove. Russian clubs only met on Friday in a direct confrontation about the final third position, with the Admiral losing 3: 4 following a separate raid.
"With each game we feel better and better, we get to know each other in the team. We're starting to take advantage of the opportunities, which is a great find with the upcoming season," said Bakos, who in the previous year played in the AHL for the Providence Bruins and in the KHL for HK Sochi.
The 22-year-old Slovak wingman has also participated in the best European competition for Slovan Bratislava and the Chinese red star Kunun-lun. Vladivostok's debut is scheduled for September 3, when Admiral challenges Bary's Nur-Sultan.
