Chinese tenants in Maribor airport have been late to pay a rent for three months. On the other hand, the state is charging more than three million euros of state aid.
In the last two months, the Chinese have not paid rent for the airport infrastructure at Edvard Rusjan Airport Maribor. When the November rent expires on November 15, the debt will amount to almost 300 thousand euros, according to Planet TV.
With the management of the second largest airport in China, the Chinese did not really show themselves, but at the same time they did not only require the state to grant them a 50-year concession and allow the state plan to extend the runway, but also to grant them state aid. Meanwhile, the airline alone, this summer, has abolished the only regular airline.
Finally paid in August
Before Maribor airport stopped paying rent for airport Edvard Rusjan Maribor, the intelligence service requested state aid of more than 3.2 million euros.
The reason for the termination of the rental payment may be rejected by the state aid application. Finally, the rent was hired for August 2018.
The director and the procurator did not find the journalists
Today there was no director at Maribor Airport Lingkun Meng not a procurator Ground Gros. Planet TV's questions were raised to the email address of SHS Aviation, owned by Maribor Airport.
As stated in the reply, according to which Meng is signed, payment of the last two monthly rents is not a consequence of financial difficulties but by objective circumstances that the state is aware of. And yet, the current economic exposure has caused unclear timelines when adopting state procedures.
If there is no extension, they will prepare suitcases
The investor should inform informally that he will prepare boxes if the national space plan does not cover the extension of the existing landing route by 800 meters to 3 300 meters. But with these plans, the locals do not fully agree.
"People, not only in Miklavž but more generally, think equally and equally. The expansion of the airport would not give anything good, but on the contrary, it only means that the environment is stressful and a significant deterioration in quality of life," said Simona Marko, a representative of the civilian initiative Miklavž.
They believe that the Maribor airport in its existing infrastructure already fulfills its potential.
"If we look at this airport in such infrastructure as it is now 600,000 passengers and 50,000 tons of cargo passages annually, which is almost as much as now being done by Zagreb, Brnik Airport and Graz together," warns Marko.
They want development, but they do not want the polluter
And they think of megalomanic plans in the nearby Maribor airport.
"We want to develop the airport because it indirectly benefits us, indirectly also to all residents of the region, but we do not want the polluter, which would destroy the region in some way," said Filip Tobias, chairman of ŠD Aerodromski Center Maribor.
