20 minutes – Was Maddie the victim of children's shops?

The English physician couple Gerry and Kate McCann spent the spring of 2007, his vacation with the kids in the Portuguese coastal town of Praia de Luz. On May 3, she and her two-year-old twins and three-year-old Madeleine slept in their apartment in the evening and met with friends in a 50-meter restaurant at the resort.

Do you look at real crime movies?

When Kate McCann saw the kids at 9:30 pm, she saw that Madeleine had disappeared. To date, there is no evidence of their whereabouts.

The mysterious cause created great interest worldwide. Hundreds of journalists camped in the Algarve for several weeks to cover the family's destiny.

Millions of francs were donated for the search for Madeleine, including by "Harry Potter" inventor J.K. Rowling. Madie's fate is still moving people today. According to the BBC, about 8,000 indications of the girls' observations were received by 2016.

So far, there is no conclusive evidence of what could have happened to Madeleine McCann. A British expedition was briefly targeted by the Commissioners, and the parents were briefly suspected of dealing with the child's disappearance.

14 months after the case became known, the investigation was stopped. But five years later, the local authorities resumed it. In 2011, the British police took over the investigation. Although more than 12 million francs have been invested in the study so far, the matter is still unclear.

In eight episodes, Netflix rolls the case completely new. The creators detail the events in Praia de Luz after May 3, 2007. Really new findings in the case do not offer the document.

But a thesis comes into focus: That Madeleine was the victim of a child trafficking. This suggests that nothing was found today, and it would have been relatively easy to get the child out of the country due to a lack of blockage. A witness has also pointed out that an unknown person would have worn a child in the pajamas from the resort at the time of the crime.

Kate and Gerry McCann refused to participate in the Netflix documentary. The couple believes the series is in the way of the ongoing investigation. The fact that investigator Gonçalo Amaral has a prominent voice was also critical eye.

The Portuguese published a book in 2009 and claimed that McCann's accidentally killed their daughter and dumped his body. The couple sued successfully against these allegations.

Generally, production has struggled with difficulties since the beginning. First, the format must be pressed to the length and then fully set. The release date has been postponed from last year to March 2019.

Madeleine McCann's disappearance is now available on Netflix.
