The German car brand Mercedes does not need to be presented and advertised, as this car brand has long been standard for reliability and comfort. Many Ukrainian car enthusiasts are pleased to buy a Mercedes bu, because the cost of a new car is unfair. Not cheap and maintenance of a used Mercedes, because the car with mileage requires financial investments.
The diesel scandal forced the German car designs to focus on the creation of environmentally friendly cars. Autobuilders are well aware that diesel engines will be repeated in a few years with gasoline engines. In addition to the development of electric cars, Mercedes specialists were committed to creating hybrid car models and now they boast a new compact crossover with hybrid power plants, consisting of a hydrogen engine and an electric motor.
The first surpluses have already completed the fleets of the national and regional ministries in Germany, as well as some large companies, such as the German railways Air Liquide, Linde AG and others, have got cars. The free sale of the car will be shown in spring 2019.
The new Mercedes GLC F-Cell is equipped with a unique hybrid power plant that does not pollute the environment at all. Water dust comes out of the exhaust pipe for such a motor. Under the intersection floor there are two carbon fiber cylinders, which can hold up to 4.4 liters of hydrogen. For a refueling, the car can cover 430 kilometers, and in hybrid mode the car can drive 498 kilometers. The lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 13.5 kW / h drives an electric motor with a power of 208 horses. It takes 1.5 hours to charge the battery completely. Weighting is only possible at a specialized hydrogen fuel station.
In addition to hybrid mode, crossover can also work in three different modes:
- F-Cell, when only the hydrogen engine is involved;
- Rechargeable when the car is powered on the battery only;
- Charging when the battery is charging is a priority.
The new Mercedes GLC F-Cell is only available in major German cities like Berlin, Munich, Düsseldorf, Stuttgart, Frankfurt, Hamburg and Cologne. Corporate customers can rent a GLC fuel cell plug in the long and short term.
