The tortured and bloodless company ZTE is trying to return to the smartphone market. To play in the same league with the top units at MWC 2019, the flagship ZTE AXON 10 Pro was shown, which received an AMOLED display, a Snapdragon 855, a separate audio chip, a triple camera, 4000 mAh battery and 5G support. But behind the high announcements from other manufacturers, this model has been lost and it is unlikely that it will boast great sales. To turn its attention to its products, ZTE is preparing a surprise – Axon S.
The trend with the maximum frameless determines the need to clear the maximum facade below the screen. ZTE's engineers and designers did the same and decided to go ahead with designing a slider smartphone. But unlike other devices, they will offer a side sliding mechanism that opens access to the dual front-facing camera. The design of the side slider allowed to make the frames around the screen minimal. But the trick is that the triple main camera was also placed on the slider, which has to offer support for 5x optical zoom. Smartphone receives a USB Type-C in the right corner of the bottom panel and a biometric sensor. It is a matter of support for 5G, and it allows us to speak with great confidence in the installation of the SoC Snapdragon 855 and the Snapdragon X50 modem here.
