Huthwaite-based North Midland Construction (NM Group) has been awarded a seat on Highways England's regional delivery partnership to deliver large projects worth up to 100 million over the highway and highway network.
Partnership with design consultants BWB Consulting, the construction company has won one of only six vacancies within Band A of the framework, which means delivery of work packages over a six-year period.
John Homer, CEO of NM Group, said: "This new framework is an exciting project to be part of and extend our current long-term relationship with Highways England to include larger and more complex projects.
"We welcome the step change Highways England takes to deliver regional improvements by involving communities at local level. We will work with Highways England, other framework contractors and stakeholders to achieve shared success and maximize our benefits through our projects."
All systems will be delivered on a design and construction basis, with the first program already awarded – an upgrade to the M621 in Leeds.
