Disney and Pixar released the first teaser car for Toy Story 4 on Monday.
The fourth part of the franchise captures the viewers with Woody (Tom Hanks) after one of his human owner, Bonnie, adds a new toy named Forky (Tony Hale) in her room. The toys begin on an adventure trip that shows them how big and exciting the world can be.
The film also plays the stars Tim Allen, Annie Potts, Joan Cusack, Blake Clark, Wallace Shawn, John Ratzenberger, Estelle Harris, Don Rickles, Jeff Pidgeon, Michael Keaton, Bonnie Hunt, Timothy Dalton, Jeff Garlin and Laurie Metcalf. Josh Cooley directed the animated movie.
The trailer opens with Woody, Buzz Lightyear (Allen), Jessie (Cusack), Mr. Potato Head (Rickles), Mrs. Potato Head (Harris), Rex (Wallace Shawn), Hamm (Ratzenberger), a stranger (Pidgeon) and Slinky Dog (Clark) hold all hands when they make a circle. Joni Mitchell's "both sides now" play as text on screen shares as the high-end movie will debut next summer.
The friendship circuit ends with Provisional Toky Forky. "I do not belong here," he exclaimed before releasing Slinky Dog and Woody's hands and running out of the circle. The new toy's breakdown starts a chain reaction that forces the other toys to spin out of control.
Forky then addresses the camera and explains, "I'm not a toy."
"Hi, hey. Someone gets him before he points out," Woody says offscreen, because Forky is seen as running away.
The last Toy Story movie hit theaters in 2010 and gross more than one billion dollars at the global box office.
Toy Story 4 will hit theaters 21 June 2019.
