Mourinho Taunts crowd like Man United beat Juventus 2-1

TURIN, Italy – After listening to Taunts from the Juventus audience for 90 minutes, Jose Mourinho could not help paying them back.

Mourinho had to be escorted by the plan Wednesday after celebrating Manchester United's 2-1 repeat victory over the Italian side of the Champions League by hitting his hand in the ear to the audience after the final whistle. The guest played a slight injury with Juventus players who overshadowed one of the most important results of the United season, which has fought at home but now has a great chance of reaching the knockout scene in Europe.

"I came here to do my job and I was insulted for 90 minutes," said Mourinho. "I would not make that gesture again, but I do not think I insulted anyone, and then it seemed like a suitable response to those who had insulted my entire family, except my Inter as well."

Mourinho is unpopular among Juventus fans after dealing with bitter rival Inter Milan for three years. After United's 1-0 loss to Juventus at home two weeks ago, he responded to the Italian fans by holding three fingers against them and renamed the title – Champions League, Serie A and Italian Cup – he won with Inter in the 2009-10 season .

This time he had another victory to celebrate, having seen his team fight back from Cristiano Ronaldo's spectacular opening goal. Juan Mata equalized a free kick four minutes from the time and Alex Sandro reached his own goal in the final when United blown his Champions League group at an open position.

Juventus defender Leonardo Bonucci regretted Mourinho as he chopped his ear with the Bianconeri fans and the United coach was escorted by the plan of a UEFA official and some co-workers.

It was Juventus first defeat in any competition this season.

"When I work for a club like Manchester United, I have to forget about my past as in the 90 minutes I represent Manchester United," Mourinho said. "But the other (Juventus fans) did not forget.

"And it's a big pleasure for me because we won against a super team, and not because they are the enemy of the Interiors."

Juventus, who was the only team in the Champions League still with a perfect record, was top in Group H but is only two points ahead of United. Valencia, who beat Young Boys 3-1 earlier, is two points further back.

United played better than what did when the two sides met in Manchester but Juventus had a number of possibilities and had already met the woodwork twice before Ronaldo struck 65 minutes.

Bonucci flew a ball over the defense's top and Ronaldo saw it over his shoulder before volleying into the right-hand corner.

The Portuguese superstar immediately jumped to the corner flag, lifted up his shirt and pointed to his impressive abs.

Ronaldo is a 121-year full-time record in the Champions League, but it was his first in the Juventus race – even though he missed a match by lifting his red card against Valencia.

Juventus coach Massimiliamo Allegri raised his eyebrows and gave an appreciation laugh to the goal.

Juventus seemed to be on his way to all three points, with United struggling to cut out clear scoring opportunities, but Mata hit a free kick in the top left corner of the 86th minute and it seemed to inspire Jose Mourinho's side.

Minutes later Marouane Fellaini hit a free kick and the ball ricocheted around the remote control before joining Juventus defender Alex Sandro.
