(Caracas, November 17th. News24) –So far this year Deaths from influenza in Mexico increased 93% compared with 2017, according to the Mexican health ministers' latest epidemiological bulletin.
The figure is translated to 28 deaths this year over the two recorded last year. The health secretary had warned in September of September that this time of year there would be a larger circulation of the AH1N1 virus.
Fall rose 210% during the winter season's first month, compared with the same period last year. This year there were 491 positive cases, while 2017 was 158, Prensa Latina reported.
The states with more cases are Veracruz, with 73; Guerrero, 63; Chiapas, 46; Sinaloa, 39 and Oaxaca, with 34, accounting for 51.9% of the total number of confirmed cases nationwide.
