Jessie J published a strong statement condemning the comparisons some media have made between her and ex of her current partner, Channing Tatum, Jenna Dewan.
The 30-year-old singer used his Instagram to share a message of positivity and encouraged women to support other women instead of comparing themselves.
"Seldom, but sometimes I see my name being involved in news that I disagree with. I often ignore them, because 99% of the time is worthless to talk about. However, there is a story I have written about and again the last few weeks talking about being directly compared to another beautiful woman with regard to our relationships, and who they think is more fun, "wrote Jessie.
She continued: "I've always tried to find something positive in this article … I'm still there … I'm also talking in general. In addition to this story, it's constant in women."
"I'm so disappointed and embarrassed that my name is involved. It's not something that represents at all. I do not take stories like this, because I know what kind of impact it has on younger girls who read it. I spent a lot of my childhood and tried to be comfortable on my skin like many other little girls and when I grew up, I decided to spend my career with a lot of music trying to help / inspire myself and all the other women to see their beauty from the inside and I continue to do it, "added Jessie.
Jessie continued to ask the media to spread a more positive message and remind them of women who are beautiful as they are.
