WASHINGTON. The results show that the woman's brain remains mentally fuller, much longer.
This allowed the research group to confirm that female brains are on average three years younger than men's brains.
The study involved 121 women and 84 men between the ages of 20 and 80. These topics reviewed a series of tomographies to measure brain metabolism among other conditions.
"It's not that men's brains get older … (…) They start adulthood about three years older than women, and it goes on for life," said adjunct professor of radiology at the Medicine School. University of Washington, St. Louis.
